Ingredients
  

Blackberry Filling
  • 2 cups blackberries fresh
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
Cream Cheese Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
Pastry
  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Method
 

  1. Cook blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Thicken with cornstarch slurry and cool completely.
  2. Mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest until smooth.
  3. Cut puff pastry into squares and add fillings.
  4. Fold into triangles and seal edges with egg wash.
  5. Brush tops with egg wash and cut steam vents.
  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18–22 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool slightly and drizzle with glaze before serving.

Notes

Chill assembled turnovers for 10 minutes before baking for extra flaky layers.
