- Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla, then mix well.
- Whisk dry ingredients separately and combine with wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chunks and dried cherries.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Portion dough and place on baking sheets.
- Bake 11-13 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool slightly and serve.
Notes
For bakery-style cookies, reserve some chocolate chunks and cherries to press onto the tops before baking.
