Ingredients
  

Main Components
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1 bunch asparagus trimmed
  • 3 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 egg beaten
Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs optional
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet.
  2. Mix melted butter with minced garlic.
  3. Cut puff pastry into strips and brush with garlic butter.
  4. Wrap pastry around asparagus and place on baking sheet.
  5. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle cheese and herbs.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Keep puff pastry cold for best results. Thin asparagus works best.
