Ingredients
  

Macaroon Batter
  • 4 cups sweetened shredded coconut
  • 3 egg whites large
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Optional Chocolate
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate melted

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk egg whites, sugar, vanilla, and salt until frothy.
  3. Fold in coconut until evenly coated.
  4. Scoop small mounds onto baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20 to 24 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool completely and drizzle with chocolate if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of almond extract along with vanilla.
