Method
- Rinse the rice under cool water and drain well.
- Heat milk, cream, cinnamon stick, salt, and vanilla bean in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Add rice and simmer gently for 35–45 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Stir in honey, sugar, butter, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Remove cinnamon stick and vanilla bean pod.
- Transfer to bowls and chill for at least 3 hours.
- Serve chilled with extra honey and cinnamon.
Notes
For the creamiest texture, use short-grain rice and cook slowly over low heat.
