Ingredients
  

Mango Filling
  • 2 large ripe mangoes finely diced
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
Pastry
  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp melted butter

Method
 

  1. Mix mangoes, sugar, cardamom, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
  2. Spread filling between puff pastry sheets and cut into strips.
  3. Twist strips, brush with egg wash, and bake until golden brown.

Keep puff pastry cold for maximum flakiness and avoid overfilling.
