- Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
- Toast walnuts until fragrant and set aside.
- Cook maple syrup, brown sugar, condensed milk, butter, and salt until 245°F.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and walnuts.
- Spread into prepared pan and cool completely.
- Chill until firm, cut into bite-sized squares, and serve.
Notes
For best texture, use a candy thermometer and allow the caramel to fully cool before slicing.
