  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Coating
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Mix sugars, eggs, oil, and vanilla until smooth, then combine with dry ingredients.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips, chill dough, roll in powdered sugar, and bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.

Notes

Chilling the dough is essential for texture and crackled appearance. Double coat in powdered sugar for best results.
