Ingredients
  

Vanilla Custard
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter
Peach Layer
  • 4 ripe peaches peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
Assembly
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs

Method
 

  1. Heat milk until warm.
  2. Whisk egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch.
  3. Temper eggs with warm milk.
  4. Cook mixture until thickened.
  5. Stir in vanilla and butter; chill.
  6. Prepare peach mixture.
  7. Whip cream to soft peaks.
  8. Layer crumbs, custard, and peaches.
  9. Top with whipped cream and garnish.

Notes

Use ripe peaches and fully chilled custard for the best texture and presentation.
